Ordovician Hemichordata Fossils
The graptoloids were colonial animals with many miniscule individual
living tubes (thecae) grouped together into a colony called a rhabdosome.
The rhabdosome often resembles a jigsaw blade. When living, the
rhabdosome was suspended from a float by a slender thread called a nema.
