On our second week in Azerbaijan we took a three hour bus ride up to
Qusar, or Qusare (the former is the Azeri form, the latter is the
Russian version, "koo-sar-RAY"), where Leyla's dad and his sisters had
grown up, and where Leyla would go to visit her grandparents. It is
in the Caucasus foothills and mountains. It was fun watching the
landscape change from brown to green.
