Another Summer

Were it to be that I could travel
Not by land and not by sea
But back in time
Not through any, not through all
But just in mine
I'd travel back to where you are now

Everybody wants to live forever
If not forever then a hundred years
I'm just asking for another summer
A decade or two with which to try again

Albert says I can move myself ahead
On a rocketship that flies the speed of light
Or on a cryogenic bed I'll sleep 'till August 2010
The moon a waning sliver in the sky
Would you live it out and wait for me?

Everybody wants to live forever
If not forever then a hundred years
I'm just asking for another summer
A decade or two with which to try again
