I have worked for Wolfram Research since 1994 developing numerical functionality for the Mathematica kernel. I work on a variety of topics, but my main interest is on the numerical solution of differential equations. Recently, I have added a page which computes arbitrary finite difference weights.

Research Interests

My research interests are in mathematical models of nonlinear random media and numerical analysis. My most recent work is with the Nonlinear Schrödinger equation.

I received my doctorate in Applied Mathematics from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University

Publications

Papers in scientific journals.

Articles focusing on effective use of Mathematica.

Presentations

Recent talks and tutorials on Mathematica Numerics using Mathematica notebooks can be downloaded and perused.

Home

Many people ask me why I live in Maine since I don't like lobster. Well, being in a small town with lots of opportunities for cycling, cross-country skiing, hiking and sea kayaking makes up for the lobster.
