On digitizing the Findlay Enterprise

The Findlay Enterprise newspaper was published from the 1890s to 1986 and was devoted to news about the small farm town of Findlay, Illinois. Wouldn't it be nice to have all the issues online with easily readable and copyable text? Sure it would!

This project was conceived a few years ago by two classmates from the Findlay High School class of 1959: Mike Atkinson and my first cousin (once removed) Roger Kirkwood. The collection consists of microfilm scans produced years ago by the Illinois State Historical Library, which is now the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.

As of this morning, all issues from 1957 to 1986 are online at nhttp://members.wolfram.com/billw/findlay-enterprise/.

The project is available in github at https://github.com/summaminutiae/findlay-enterprise.
