Aristotle Esguerra mentions Dr. Paul Ford's By Flowing Waters.
Dr. Ford's By Flowing Waters is one of those books you really do need to buy if you're interested in liturgical music. I don't have much use for the NRSV psalms he uses, but his translations and settings of sequences and Marian antiphons are worth the extraordinarily affordable price of the book.
Hoping this falls under fair use provisions, I've scanned and posted his setting of the Golden Sequence here. Our four-year-old daughter likes to complete each phrase of the chant by shouting the final word; to her, the second phrase runs "Come, O Father of the... PORCH!."

Regarding the NRSV, I was asked by the original publisher of this book, Oregon Catholic Press, to use it because, at the time, it had Roman approval for liturgical use. I also liked it because its long lines permitted the use of intonations and because it was a conservative (only horizontally inclusive) translation.
Approval for the lectionary use of the NRSV (it is still being used in the Catechism of the Catholc Church)was withdrawn at the request of the US Bishops when they heard that Rome would approve only one translation per conference of bishops and the US bishops wanted to make the royalties from their revised New American Bible translation. Later the Canadian bishops, who were the first to seek and receive Rome's approval of the NRSV for liturgical use, ran afoul of the even more conservative Roman authorities. But I have it on good authority that Rome has problems with the NRSV psalter in only two verses, Psalm 1:1 and Psalm 8:4; I offered to change these psalms in my book to the RSV, so that I could obtain the approval of the US Bishops of my book as a resource for responsorial psalms.
As far as reprinting goes, the Liturgical Press has generously given all owners of the book permission to reprint anything meant for use by the assembly (see pages 429-432 and the complete list of copyright citations at the website, http://www.litpress.org/byflowingwaters/ ) by only mentioning the proper owners of the copyright.
I was doing an internet search on the title of my book (I am preparing an article on how it is being used) and I found your comment and I wanted to ask how you are using the book and how it has been received.
Gratefully,
Paul

Thanks for your comments, Dr. Ford! Your book is well-received by its audience here, which is my family. We're not involved in a parish music program (and I'm sure not qualified ever to be in one); we just have a great time singing at home.
